DEFINITIONS

ASPA STUD BOOK (Australian Saddle Pony Stud Book)
The progeny of sire and dam registered with the Australian Saddle Pony Association. To be eligible for ASPA Stud Book status,
must be foal recorded by 31st July in breeding year of birth. Any registration received after 31 July in that year will only be
eligible for Junior Registration. A vet certificate and/or adult registration from another breed society applies to all stallion registrations as of the age of 3 years and over.

ADULT STALLION, MARE OR GELDING
Registration applies to ponies 4 years and over and no classification is required if registered with another breed society (photocopy of registration papers must be sent with registration form). A vet certificate and/or adult registration from another breed society applies to all stallion registrations.

JUNIOR COLT, FILLY OR GELDING
Registration applies to all ponies from birth up to 4 years whose sire and dam IS NOT REGISTERED with the Australian Saddle Pony Association. No classification is required if registered with another breed society (photocopy of registration papers must be
sent with registration form). Only eligible for in-hand classes and must be upgraded to ADULT REGISTRATION to be eligible to compete under saddle in Australian Saddle Pony ridden classes from the age of 3 years and over.

CLASSIFICATION
Is still required for horses of unknown breeding and is not registered with any other breed society.
